A Unique Laboratory
The Jané Crash Test Research Centre was built in 2003 when, as a result of our commitment to child safety, we decided to create our own crash test tunnel where we could test our seats to the limit to achieve a level of safety that goes beyond the legal requirements.
All the Jané seats are created in the JANÉ CRASH TEST RESEARCH CENTER, the only private crash tunnel in Spain for researching child safety.
As it is situated beside our factory in Palau-Solità i Plegamans (Barcelona), we can use the Crash Test facility as much as is necessary (and then some more). And that's how we can offer you the most tested seats on the market with the strictest certification of Europe.
Going Beyond Legal Requirements Our car seats can be tested up to 250 times before being put on the market.
We stage crashes equivalent to 85 km/h (53 mph) in the car - much higher than the European Safety Regulations of 30 mph or ADAC crash tests at 40 mph. All of our car seats meet and exceed the ECE R44.04 Safety Standard, and/or the ECE R129 Safety Standard for i-Size versions
This is our 3rd Jane Grand/Drive moving up from our Strata and transporter baby seats ... we wouldn’t have anything else for our kids as they are the most sturdy and uncomplicated user friendly seats we just love them ... isofix and tether for that extra security and our kids are always comfy with plenty of space and padding. Fully recommend Jane ... our first Jane strata was unfortunately tested out in a high impact RTC involving an HGV but it stood the test and baby had no injuries except cosmetic from car glass even the fireman who cut the roof off the car was impressed with the Jane car seat when removed from the vehicle! Thank you Jané for amazing products to keep our precious cargo safe!
Wee one was delighted with her new car seat, should last for years to come. Perfect design as well. Dad was happy as easy to install in his car. Jane sent the seat super fast and even price matched as well. We already had the gravity so this was the only choice for our girls safety. Highly recommended these car seats.
Can I install the carseat Jane Drive also backwards?

Hi Tineke, the Drive car seat is always installed forward facing using the Isofix system. It can not be installed backwards. If you would prefer a car seat that can do this then look at the new Groowy iSize car seat.

Are Jane interchangeable eg can a crosswalk seat go on a trider base?

No, Each pushchair seat unit is designed for their particular chassis. This is so they can fold with the chassis and are also stable, as some chassis and pushchair on the Jane range are higher off the ground than others.
The Jane car seats can go on different jane chassis or pushchair, but not the pushchair seat units.
